We use light tackle St. Croix Legend Inshore 7'6" spinning rods matched with Shimano Stradic Spinning Reels. The line of choice for the past 3 years is HANDS DOWN the BEST; Daiwa Samurai. This is the very best combination in a light tackle outfit that will combine both sensitivity and lightweight with unmatched strength and durability.
For the saltwater fly angler, we provide fly reels by Tibor and fly rods by G.Loomis. Our preference for fishing in Long Island Sound is a 10 weight Crosscurrent GLX matched with a Tibor Riptide. We use flies tied by Captain Ian himself to match local baitfish that Devil n' Blends imitate so well.
For lures we use Hogy, Lunker City, Rapala, Deadly Dick, Storm, Stillwater, Kalin's Ultimate Jig, R.M. Smith, Fish on 8, Super Strike, Robert's Lures, John's Custom Jigs, Jay's Custom Jigs, Uncle Josh, ALL of which can be found at Fisherman's World (fishermansworld.net) in Norwalk, Connecticut.
For apparel we use Patagonia, Simms, and Aquaskins for protection from the harshest weather that mother nature can dish out which can be found at Fisherman's World in Norwalk, Patagonia of Westport and The Compleat Angler in Darien, Connecticut.
The boat, motor, performance accessories, GPS/Fishfinder, and trailer is a select combination. We have used Lake and Bay Boats, Bob's Machine Shop, and Boatmaster Trailers for OVER 10 years without a lick of trouble! I offer the VERY BEST to my customers.
